ESTONIA and TALLINN
Tallinn is the capital and the largest city of Republic of Estonia, a country in Northern Europe. Estonia is the member of the European Union, Eurozone and the Schengen Area. Tallinn is situated on the northern coast of Estonia, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. Nearest capitals and major cities are Helsinki, Stockholm and Saint Petersburg. The Historic Centre (Old Town) of Tallinn is listed in UNESCO World Heritage List.

For close-by and affordable stay during the conference, we suggest the Academic Hostel. It is located in TalTech campus Akadeemia 11/1 (a short walk from the conference venue and from public transport stop to the city centre).
There are also countless opportunities for accommodation in city centre, which is well connected through public transport to conference venue.
IMPORTANT! Travel to/from Tallinn and accommodation is to be covered by the participants. Please note that the organizers have not made any pre-bookings. TRAVEL TO TALLINN
Tallinn Airport is located just 4 km from the city centre making the airport easily accessible. The airport has good public transport connection by tram or by bus and offers sufficient access for taxies. Read about how to get to the city centre here.
Ships sail between Tallinn and Helsinki several times a day. Overnight ferries between Tallinn and Stockholm depart every evening. The ferries arrive at Port of Tallinn.
Two international bus lines, Lux Express and Ecolines offer connections to Tallinn from several other European cities. International as well as domestic lines arrive at Tallinn bus station, which is situated not far from the airport.
There are regular international train connections to Tallinn from Moscow. All international and domestic trains arrive at the railway station Balti Jaam, which is situated near Old Town.
The city’s public transport network includes of buses, trolleys and trams. The public transport network operates from 6:00 to 23:00 (some lines until 24:00). From the city centre, take trolley No 3 or bus No 11 to bus stop “Keemia” or bus No 23 to bus stop “Raja” to get to TalTech. Useful sites for planning your logistics:
